I wish school would end soon, or better yet, disappear altogether.
It was well past dismissal time, but the teacher wouldn't let us go, droning on with tedious announcements.
Then one brave student raised their hand and asked, "Teacher, when are you letting us go?"
The teacher was stern. "Talking back to me? You're staying after school today."
In the end, only that student remained while the others made it safely home.
Alone in the empty classroom, the student sighed as they watched their friends laughing and walking away through the window.
