The child's parents made a proclamation: "To whoever removes this child's pure white flower, I shall give half my land."
But no matter how many people tried various methods, they could not remove the flower.
And so the parents' worry continued, and the child grew with flowers blooming in their mouth.
Contrary to their parents' thoughts, the bond between the child and the flower was stronger than expected.
As the flower's condition changed, so too did the child's mood.
One day the child's flower turned red—redder than a rose, deeper than blood.
Contrary to their parents' concern, the child laughed brightly and joyfully upon seeing the flower changing color in their mouth.
Only then did the parents realize: this child had never meant to remove the flower, but rather to make it bloom more beautifully.
