Upon reading the letter, it seemed like a farewell to someone.
The sender's name was unfamiliar, but the recipient's name was recognizable—it was my own.
But as I examined the envelope, another letter I had missed fell out from inside.
A connection I had long forgotten came rushing back to me, and I found myself hoping it might be that person.
My suspicion was correct. 'How have you been? My hand still remembers the handwriting of yours that I practiced so carefully back then.'
'By the time you read this, I'll probably be far away.' I continued reading on.
"Can you come find me?" My gaze stopped at the final sentence.
In that moment, I picked up the pen in my hand and decided to write a reply.
