Everyone was confused. What had they been believing in all this time? Was it really a curse? Or perhaps rather a blessing?
So the villagers decided to raise the child with utmost care, treating it as a hope that would lift their curse.
Perhaps because everyone in the village had pinned their hopes on the child, the child could not bear the weight and abandoned life of their own accord.
Only then did everyone in the village come to know: the cruelest lie wears the name of hope.
